Red card rouses Langholm

Langholm 37

NATIONAL DIVISION ONE

Langholm never settled in the first quarter and weak defending allowed Wanderers to capitalise with three tries, one of which was converted, writes John Smith.

The only points in return for Langholm came from a penalty goal by Colin Jardine.

Things then got worse when Langholm were reduced to 14 men when flanker Jordan Reid was red-carded after Oris Replica strongly complaining to the referee following an alleged foul on a team-mate.

The decision seemed to rouse the reduced Langholm ranks into action and replacement front row forward Steve Jardine powered over to score, closing the gap to 17-8 at the break.

Langholm started the second half with a bang and a quickly-taken free kick by scrum half David Irving was fed to replacement flanker Ricki Kiore who crashed over and Colin Jardine added the extras.

The home side eventually had a player sin-binned after giving away numerous penalties.

Langholm were brochure printing now going strong, with attacks from quick recycle, and Kiore went over for another try to put his team in front with 20 minutes left.

A further three visiting tries came from the pack through Steve Jardine (2) and Stuart Graham, one of which Colin Jardine converted.

A good effort from Langholm to secure Panerai Watch Replica a total of six tries, playing over an hour with 14 men.

Langholm: C. Jardine, R. Mackay, A. Cavers, N. Cubbon, J. Pool, K. Davidson, D. Irving, C. Little, S. Devlin, D. Divers, A. Tyler, S. Howatson, J. Reid, S. Nicol, S. Graham. Subs: R. Kiore, S. Jardine and C. Hislop.
